My Healthy life Journal.

Starting today.  I will be adding new post at the top of this page.  To make it easier for everyone to check in faster.

Today I started a new health tip towards lose.  I started to use baking soda.  Simply adding a tsp full to a glass of water.  We will see how well it works.  The taste is not to bad.  It is just very salty.  I will keep you updated on the progress.

Hello,
Here you will find my personal healthy life journey.  I'm 44 yrs, I weight close to 200 lbs.  When I saw the scales getting so close to 200 lbs.  I decided it was time for some major changes.  I haven't been over 200 lbs. my whole life.  And I'm not starting now.  Especially, with age fighting against me.   The more weight I carry, the harder my health life will be.  So fair I've been lucky.  Their is only 1 pill I need to take everyday.  And that one is to keep me flipping my lid.  LOl.    That is a little surprising since my frame is so small, and I'm caring this much weight.  But I would like to keep it that way.

I'm a big believer in Natural Healing.  So I don't want to add any medicines to my life.  So for me this journey will be about being as healthy as possible.  Losing the extra weight will just be a big bounce.  Don't get me wrong.  I would love to be back down to the 121 lbs I was a few years ago.  But that will not be my focus.

Surely if I'm living a more healthy life.  The weight will disappear too.    The older I get the more days I have where I don't feel very good.  I don't like that at all.  I want to feel good everyday.  I want to have the energy to get out and play with my grandkids.  I still have a lot of life left to live.  And a lot of things I still want to do before I leave this world. The only way that is going to happen is if I make major changes in my life.  I have a lot of bad habits that will need to be replaced with good ones.

*  I drink to much soda pop.  Actually that is all I've drunk for  years now.
*  I smoke.
*  I only eat once a day.
*  I don't eat healthy. {I hate to cook}
*  I don't exercise everyday.
*  and the list goes on.

I'm hoping starting this blog will help me stay accountable for my health.  While inspiring others to do the same.  With most of us going threw the empty nest.  We have more time to devote to ourselves.  So we can be here for a long time.  To enjoy our grandkids, and to drive our kids crazy as long as we can.

Here is what I'm plaining on doing to change my healthy habits.  Of course these will change as I go threw this process.  There are so many different ways to be more healthy.  I need to find what works for me.  So to start off.

*  I'm adding water into my day.  Yes I still drink soda pop.  But much less.  I'm drinking a 16 oz water to everyday 16 oz of pop.  I know I need to whine myself of it.
*  I've been taking a shot of apple cider vinegar twice  day.  To help detox my body of all the bad stuff in it.  It is working well.  But is very hard to get down.  LOL.  But I'm doing it, and it is getting easier everyday.
*  Slowly adding exercise into my day.  Adding more everyday.  To avoid being so soar by doing it all at once.  Witch would only make me want to quite.  And that is not an option.
*  Eating three times a day.  Actually I think it would be better to adopt a grazing thing.  Where I eat a little all day.  Would be better to kick start my slow metabolism.
*  Pick healthier foods to eat.  Maybe get into a healthy cook class to help with my dreed of cooking.
*  Stop smoking.  This one will be the hardest for me.  Because I have no desire to quite.  But I'm hoping the more exercise I add to my day.  It will make me want to stop smoking.  Because I will be out of breath if I don't.

I think that is enough to start with.  I don't want to overwhelm myself with so many changes, that my body feels denied.  I'm setting this up in a way for success.  Not in a way to do it quickly.    I want this to be a life change.  Not just for now.  If it is not set up in a way to succeed in the long term, what is the point.

Until next time.  Stay healthy.

The apple cider vinegar shot I've been doing twice a day.  Seems to be working.  I don't feel as tight threw my stomach.  I'm starting to get use to the horrible taste of it.  But I don't think it will ever be something I look forward too.  LOL.

I put 2 tblsp of water in a small cup, and add 1 tblsp of apple cider vinegar to the water.  I stir it up, hold my breath and drink it down.  I chase it with water to kill the taste.

It has relieved some of the bloating I had.  And does seem to be cleaning the toxins out of my system.  I take it once in the morning and once about an hour after my last meal each day.  It also seems to be boosting my energy some too.  That is a nice plus.

Tomo I plain on doing a natural colon cleanse.  I've never done.  So I'm sure I'm over due.  LOL.  I'll let you know how it goes.  I'm hoping it will help me feel much better.  Since the apple cider is taking the toxin out of my body.  This should remove them from my system completely.

Until tomo, stay healthy.

The colon cleanse I used did not really do much.  I used apple juice, lemon juice, flax seed, and chia seeds. It did help with digestion.  But did not really cleanse my colon.  I will try another this coming week.

I did put together a great mix for energy.  I was suppost to be to boost weight lose.  Witch I think it is doing it to.  But it seems to work best foe boost energy.  My energy sky rocketed.

You will find the recipe Here.

This week has been a very busy week.  I haven't been able to stay on top of my weight lose journey.  But for me this is about a healthy lifestyle, not how fast I can get there.

Well, I guess I'm doing something right.  The energy mix recipe I gave everyone a few days ago.  I found it at Walmart yesterday.  It was in the vinegar section.  It was apple cider vinegar with lemon, cinnamon and honey already mixed together.  I did buy a bottle.  But it seems to be much weaker then what I mix up.  But still, that is awesome.    I didn't know there was a formula like it.  Especially for sell.

I've been doing my apple cider mix every morning.  It is still helping me feel great.  There was one morning I forgot to take it before I got busy with my day.  I sure could tell I didn't take it.  I felt so run down after a few hours.  So I've been trying really hard to not forget it.

I have back sled on my water tho.  But I didn't let it get me down.  I just picked up where I left off.  I've been stretching to help get my body ready to start doing some major exercising.  I don't feel so tight every where.  I didn't realize just how stiff I had become.

Today I did a home body wrap.  I used solid coconut oil, Vicks vapor rub, and 2 tblsp ginger.  I melted the oils together.  Added in powered ginger.  Mixed it we4ll,  then poured it into a small container I have.  Let it set a few minutes to become more like a salve.  Then I spread it on my tummy, hips and back.  Then I had my daughter help me get wrapped up since it was my first time.  LOL.  She thought I was crazy.  But she did it anyway.  LOL.  I sat with it on for about 2 hours.  I honestly forgot I had it on.  I was busy with my blogs.  So I wasn't moving around a lot.  Of course this being my first try.  I didn't notice much difference.  But my sink was a lot softer.  And the stretch markers were a lot lighter.  That alone is a great plus for me.  I don't think we got it tight enough.  But I will be trying it again in a few days.

Just a note.  The mix I used.
2 tblsp  coconut oil
2 tblsp Vick's Vapor Rub
2 tblsp ginger.

This made enough to use at four times.  Just applying a thin layer.  So I was very happy with that part.  That means I only have pennies in the mix.

Plus I think using the solid coconut oil, melting it and letting the mix cool to become solid again.  Was a great and very easy way to apply it.  So I do recommend a solid base like the coconut oil, or valine.   To make your mixes.

If you have tried any at home body wraps.  Let me know.  What kind of mix you used?  How did it work for you?  I would love to know.

Until next time think healthy.

I've been having trouble getting motivated to get my butt in gear.  I have all this knowledge of the best way to loss weight.  I'm having problems putting action to my knowledge.  I've been doing better the last few days.  The part I'm having issues with is getting my butt moving.

The things I've done so far.  I have changed my eating habits a lot.  I'm drinking more water.  I take apple cider vinegar every morning, and sometimes before I go to bed.  If I find that I'm a little hungry before bed.

The last few days.  I have been doing stretching before I do anything else.  It seems to be the only way I get the exercise in.  So that will be my retune.  Just doing the stretching has helped me feel much better.  I didn't realize just how tight all my muscle    were.

I haven't found my tape measure yet.  To record my measurements.  But I will keep looking.  And will post it here.  This will help me see progress better.

Until next time keep thinking Healthy.
